Standpipe Operations Training

Fire Training & Consultants, LLC will be providing Standpipe Operations Training for the Fanwood Fire Department on October 27th.

This introductory class focuses on the fundamentals of firefighter operations involving standpipe systems. Participants will discuss how standpipes support fire attack and the equipment, preparation, and coordination needed to place a hoseline into service.

Topics will include basic system components, hose and nozzle considerations, connection procedures, hose deployment, and communication between interior crews, pump operators, and incident command. The discussion will emphasize common operational challenges and the importance of understanding the systems found within the department’s response area.

Designed for firefighters and company officers, this training builds a practical foundation for safe, effective, and coordinated standpipe operations.
