This course prepares fire officers to confidently manage residential incidents in suburban settings, with a focus on large single-family homes, townhouses, and garden-style apartments. Students learn how to establish command early, conduct an accurate and continuous size-up, and apply clear, disciplined radio communications. The program emphasizes thermal imaging integration, accountability, risk-versus-benefit decision-making, and collapse awareness. Through realistic examples and practical guidance, the course strengthens fireground leadership, improves operational organization, and enhances firefighter safety and efficiency.
